Internet Tops 3,000 Million Users
Dear Reader,
The mid-year 2014 Internet World Stats have been updated, and
we are pleased to report that there are 3,035,749.340 Internet users in the
world, as of June 2014. The penetration rate of the Internet in the world, equivalent
to the percentage of the population that has access to the Internet, is 42.3%.
At present, only the main stats table has been updated on the site. It is the
table that we call
the Big Picture because it shows the users, population and Internet penetration
in main the seven world regions. For 2000 to 2014 growth comparison purposes, the
number of Internet users in the year 2000 are given. In the coming weeks, more
stats will be updated and published.
Below is a table and a short summary about the Internet Growth between 2000 and 2014.

Internet 2014 User Statistics
The following table shows the growth percentage of Internet users
between the years 2000 and 2014 (till June) for the seven main World Geographic Regions
. It is interesting to see that the growth rate has been very different
for each of the various regions. Most impressive is the very high growth rates in
Africa and the Middle East.
