Google's Define
Feature
Search Engines are very important to
everyday Internet use. In their effort to provide more and better
services, SE keep adding features and additional services. For
example, everybody knows that the Google search window can be
used as a powerful calculator. But other features are not so well
known.
Google can give you the definition for a word or a phrase in
English. To use this feature, simply type the word "define," then
a space, and then the word(s) you want defined. If Google has
seen a definition for the word or phrase on the Web, it will
retrieve that information and display it at the top of your
search results page.
You can also get a list of only definitions for a word by
including the special operator "define:" with no space between it
and the term you want defined. For example, the search
[define:statistics] will show you a list of definitions for
"statistics" gathered from various online sources by Google.
The two methods work very well for defining words in English.
Both methods are useful, the results obtained are different of
course.

Gmail Account Winners
The confirmation letters were sent to the
four lucky Gmail account winners for the first 4 months of the
year. Good news about Gmail, Google has increased its mailbox
capacity to 2,000 MB, a huge space for all your email needs. Some
of the benefits of Gmail are the large storage space, easy
labeling of messages (instead of sorting into folders), and quick
Google-powered searching. Any active IWS Newsletter may request a
free personal Gmail account from us. Use this contact form for requesting your account.
