Israel Telecommunications Premium Reports

Israel - Fixed Networks, Infrastructure, Internet and Broadband
Israel has one of the highest household broadband penetration rates in the world, building on even higher Internet penetration. Market competition is fierce, both between cable and DSL infrastructures and between ISPs. Israel’s very high broadband penetration rate provides great potential for triple play and digital media market developments. Both Bezeq, together with its satellite TV subsidiary YES, and HOT, the merged operating entity of the three Israeli cable TV companies, have the potential to easily deliver triple play services, as each possesses both content and delivery mechanisms. This potential has yet to be realised. See report Table of Contents

Israel - Key Statistics, Telecommunications Market and Regulatory Overviews Israel has made excellent progress in opening up its telecom sector to competition. Since the mid-1990s, four mobile operators, six international service providers, three regional-monopoly cable TV providers as well as a satellite TV provider, all facility-based, have been issued general licences, and over 200 special licences have been issued for the provision of value-added services. The market is dominated by fixed-line incumbent Bezeq, which is in process of being further privatised after previous failed attempts. This report provides an overview and analysis of the Israeli telecom market and includes the latest available statistical data on the major market segments. In addition, this report covers key regulatory issues such as privatisation, liberalisation and interconnection. See report Table of Contents

Israel Mobile Communications Market Report
This report gives an overview of Israel’s highly developed mobile telecoms market, which has one of the highest penetration rates in the world. The difficulties of growth through new customer acquisition and voice tariff competition have led the operators to focus on mobile data as a source of revenue growth but so far without success. Third generation services have been launched by the three major operators and even faster HSDPA has been introduced into the market. Success in selling mobile content and applications is essential to combat falling revenue, profits and ARPU. See report Table of Contents
